Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2

Priya Sood is 32, and hails from a middle-class family, living in her maternal family house with her mother, three sisters, cousin, uncle and aunt. Her father left them, now living with his second wife and their son Raj. Though Priya dated Neeraj for four years, he left her to marry her sister Maitri. Thus, she believes there is no place for love in her life. Rich, established, and well-known, Ram Kapoor, aged 38 was deserted six years ago by his girlfriend Vedika, who is now married to Shashi Babbar. Now, Ram entirely focuses on work and family. His family consists of his stepmother Nandini, half-siblings Shubham and Shivina, Nandini's brother Sanjeev and sister-in-law Mitali 'Meetu'.

Priya and Ram's lives take a turn when they discover that Shivina and Akshay are having an affair, despite Shivina being engaged to Shashi's younger brother Siddharth 'Sid'. Akshay refuses to marry before Priya marries, thus Ram decides to find a suitable alliance for her but as fate would have it, both of them agree on marrying eachother instead. However, as the families proceed with the marriages, the Kapoors learn of Priya's past affair with Neeraj, which annoys Nandini, but Ram, Adi, and Brinda come to Priya's rescue and finally, Priya-Ram and Shivina-Akshay get engaged.

On the other hand, Mahendra Sood, who has joined hands with Shashi attempts to sabotage the weddings. The revelation of Mahendra's relations with the Soods shocks Nandini, who then misunderstands the Soods, and on Shubham's insistence gets a Prenuptial Agreement prepared for Priya and Ram, which forbids Priya from receiving any share or alimony if they decide to part ways in the near future. The Prenup Agreement leaves Priya and Ram shocked. Ram initially hesitant, agrees to sign and Priya although hurt too signs the contract in front of Ram after being convinced by Meera.

During their Sangeet Party Vedika meets Priya and tells her that Ram is still in love with a woman from his past when Priya tells Vedika that Ram told her this at their engagement. Neeraj once again tries to provoke Priya to confess her love for him, but to his dismay, Priya rebukes him. However, Meetu records the conversation incomplete, making it a half-baked truth to show. After their wedding, Ram and Priya encounter some problems, and because of this Ram decides to not let Shivina and Akshay get married. So Priya decides to make Shivina leave the house secretly so she and Akshay can get married. However, Ram and his family find them and bring Shivina home. Ram then forgives Shivina and lets her go to Akshay. Shubham and Nandini are not happy with this, and they, along with Sid, decide to frame Akshay for a sex scandal with his film co-star Anjali after Ram gives Priya 5% of Shubham and Sid's new company. However, Akshay discovers the truth and Vedika takes the blame for the scandal on herself, defending Shubham and Sid after noticing the two are up to something.

With her marriage on rocks, Vedika reconsiders her decision of choosing Shashi over Ram and enters the Kapoor mansion in a hope of getting Ram back and ousting Priya. Adamant on staying at Kapoor Mansion, she accuses Shashi of domestic violence and gives Shubham and Sid a pen drive with the audio message of Ram proposing her, for Priya to hear that but instead Sara hears it but decides not telling Priya the truth.

On the other hand, Priya is keen on finding the real conspirator behind Akshay's sex scandal conspiracy. After many failures, she tracks down Anjali and concludes Shubham to be the man behind the mess. Anjali then invites everyone to the bakery and ends up blatantly lying and questioning Akshay's conduct. Shivina is distraught, Ram is furious and Priya is livid. Shivina leaves for Kapoor Mansion. Akshay who tries to fetch her back is returned humiliated.

Shashi pays 1 crore INR (₹) Cheque to Mahendra and tells him to kill Ram in an accident as he did with his father. He also invites everyone to his residence for a celebration of Lohri. Priya reaches the party a bit early and finds Shivina asking her to give Akshay a fair chance to explain to which she agrees. Mahendra Sood also arrives at the party and decides to end Ram's life by staging an accident. Unknown to his knowledge, Priya arrives at the nick of the moment and saves Ram but is grieviously injured. Ram in the heat of the moment, confesses his love for her. After arriving at the hospital, even Nandini is convinced of him falling for Priya but Vedika refuses to believe this.

After Priya recovers, Vedika starts planting doubts regarding Ram in her mind. Shashi re-attempts to bring Vedika back but is tricked by her and Nandini, convincing everyone that Shashi attempted to separate Shivina and Akshay. Ram throws Shashi from his house and later apologises to Akshay. Priya plans on turning Mahendra to the cops but is stopped when he frames Neeraj for a fraud. Akshay, who comes to stay at the Kapoor mansion on his wife's demand, notices Vedika's schemes against his sister and warns Vedika of dire consequences. Seeing Ram slipping out of her hands, Vedika asks Neeraj to reveal the truth of her past with Ram via Maitri at the Holi party. Priya is distraught but still decides to stay with Ram due to her growing bond. The couple eventually settle their differences. Ram is convinced about Vedika needing medical help and makes arrangements for her to leave for Manali. With curtains being drawn on her, Vedika plans her final act of revealing Mahendra Sood behind Ram's accident and blaming Priya of knowing everything with the help of Mitali. Nandini is furious on Priya but Ram takes her side, much to the former's displeasure. When Nandini comes to know about Vedika's involvement in this, she herself sends Vedika away, revealing her to be a mere pawn for her benefits. Ram and Priya, on realizing their love for each other come closer.

Ram wins the case of the ownership of his father's land. Still skeptic of his father's accident, he, on Priya's advice, decides to look into his father's death again. Enters Krish, a Private Investigator, who like Ram, is also following the case of Virendra Kapoor's mysterious death. Krish, who is known to Priya, is hired by Ram, who feels a bit jealous of his proximity to his wife. After Varun's mother death, Sara's and her husband Varun, decide to come to Mumbai on Ram's insistence much to the chagrin of Mahendra. Ram convinces Varun to move to Mumbai along with Sara. Krish continues to figure out the motive behind the murderer. Priya gets abducted by a few masked men (their owner is Mahendra Sood) and she is taken to an abandoned warehouse. Sheel (Sakshi Tanwar, special appearance to promote her Netflix web show 'Mai') finds something suspicious and saves Priya.
