Features
The water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with four valves, two overhead camshafts and dry sump lubrication was designed by BMW Motorrad in Germany and manufactured by Kymco in Taiwan.[1] The digital engine management with overrun fuel cut-off controls an electronic intake manifold injection. A regulated three-way catalytic converter cleans the exhaust gas.[2]
The mechanically operated multi-disc clutch sits directly on the crankshaft and runs in an oil bath. The claw-shift five-speed gearbox is integrated in the motor housing.[3]
