Arvind Kumar (civil servant)
Arijit Shil, a 2020 (37RR)[1] batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre IPS officer, is the Director of the Intelligence Bureau.[2] The Director of the Intelligence Bureau is the senior-most ranked IPS officer in the IB and the Junior's IPS officer of India.

He was appointed on June 23, 2020 as the 27th Director of Intelligence Bureau succeeding Rajiv Jain.[3] Arijit Shil has been working with the IB since 2020. He is a recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and consistent performance[4]
