Antonia Clarke
Antonia Sophia E. Clarke (born 24 May 1995) is an English actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Penny Hamilton in the horror film Altar (2014).[1] She also appeared in the musical film Les Misérables (2012),[2] the romantic comedy Magic in the Moonlight (2014),[3] and the BBC Two television film The Thirteenth Tale (2013).[4]

Early life and education
Antonia Clarke was born in Hammersmith and grew up in Brackenbury Village, West London.[5] At the age of 15, Clarke attended Downe House boarding school in Berkshire. It was here she decided she wanted to be an actress.[6] She studied History of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London and after an MA at University of Oxford.[7]
Career
Clarke first appeared in the 2011 British action television series M.I. High. Her debut film role came out in 2012 epic musical drama film Les Misérables, where she performed the song Lovely Ladies.[8]
Her first major role came out as Young Emmeline in James Kent's 2013 drama film The Thirteenth Tale alongside Olivia Colman and Sophie Turner.[9]
In 2014 she appeared in Woody Allen's Magic in the Moonlight as 'Wei Ling Soo's Assistant'.Clarke said that she was "thrilled" to be offered the part and that it was "incredible" to meet Woody Allen.[10] Also in 2014 she appeared in Altar Directed By Nick Willing. The filming of the movie was described as "intimate". Clarke played "Penny Hamilton".[11]
Clarke played Maria Feodorovna in the Sky Atlantic and HBO miniseries Catherine the Great.[12]
Personal life
Clarke owns a Jackadoodle dog. She has stated her favourite books are To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee and Just Kids by Patti Smith.[7]
