Anissa is a song by Wejdene released on April 15, 2020. The music video was released on May 27, 2020 and has over 72 million views on YouTube. The song peaked at #3 on the French Singles Chart. The single Anissa was certified gold with over 15 million streams, and then it was certified platinum with the equivalent of 30 million streams. On February 15, 2021, the single Anissa receives its diamond certificate with equivalent 80 billion streams.[1]

Writing and Composition

Anissa tells a revenge story, based on "true facts", of Wejdene being betrayed by her boyfriend with her cousin.

The passage of the lyrics "You take your dirty underwear and get out of my sight" is grammatically incorrect, and it was in the studio that Wejdene realized this. The song is co-written by Feuneu and Wejdene. Feuneu was the producer of the single. The music has an R&B style that includes influences from trap, afrobeats and kizomba.
