Andrew Hunt (politician)
Andrew Hunt is an American nanotechnology businessman who was the Libertarian Party of Georgia's candidate in the 2014 Georgia gubernatorial election. He has a PhD from Georgia Tech.[1] In August 2014, it was revealed that despite Hunt being a strong supporter, of limited government, his own technology company, received millions of dollars in research grants from the federal government. These grants "kept [Hunt's business] afloat and ultimately made it profitable," according to Nicholas Fouriezos of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.[2] In the 2014 race, Hunt received 2.4% of the vote.[3]
