Anastasia Vaipan-Law

Vaipan-Law began learning how to skate in 2007 at the age of eight in Dundee, Scotland.[1] She made her junior international debut in women's single skating at the 2013 NRW Trophy in December 2013 where she finished 21st.[2]

She competed in juniors at 2014 Nationals and finished third. Next year she competed there again but became eighth. In the same year she appeared at the juniors Cup de Nice and Volvo Open Cup, finished 13th and 26th, respectively.[3]

Vaipan-Law competed the only time at the seniors Nationals in 2016. She finished in eleventh place with 89.49 points. She lost 35.97 points in total to the champion, Danielle Harrison.[3][4] She won silver at the 2016 Open d' Andorra in ladies' juniors and finished eighth at the 2016 Sportland Trophy (juniors too).[3]

Then she never patricipated at the seniors but three times in a row became second in juniors Nationals (from 2017 to 2019).[3]

Anastasia Vaipan-Law appeared at her first JGP in Croatia in 2017.[3] She finished in fifteen place with 118.61 points.[5] She became fourth at the Merano Cup and the Volvo Open Cup, fifth at the Europa Cup Skate Helena and sixteenth at the International Cup of Nice (ladies' juniors).[3]

She participated at two stages of JGP. She finished 17th in Austria and 14th in Slovenia. Her best results in internationals was at the Alpen Trophy (4th place), she also placed 11th at the Golden Bear.[3]

Vaipan-Law/Digby made their international debut as a team at the 2021 CS Finlandia Trophy. They finished 12th overall and recorded personal bests in all three segments of competition. The team competed at three more events over the course of the fall, winning the 2021 Tayside Trophy and finishing fourth and 17th at the 2021 Trophee Metropole Nice Cote d'Azur and the 2021 CS Warsaw Cup respectively.[6] At their first British Championships in November, Vaipan-Law/Digby narrowly took the title ahead of long-dominant team Zoe Jones / Christopher Boyadji.[7] Jones/Boyadji initially received the assignment to Great Britain's single berth in the pairs' field at the 2022 European Figure Skating Championships, but after Jones recorded a positive COVID-19 test shortly before the event, Vaipan-Law/Digby were assigned to replace them.

Vaipan-Law/Digby set a new personal best in the short program at 2022 Europeans, but finished 18th in the segment and did not advance to the free skate.
