Amorino (gelato)
Amorino is a French multinational chain of gelato boutiques headquartered outside of Paris, France. The first boutique opened on Île Saint-Louis in 2002 and has since climbed to the top of an increasingly competitive market, satisfying customers with gelato and sorbetto made according to Italian tradition. As of July 2021, the company had more than 200 stores in Europe, Asia, United States and Mexico[1] and is recognised worldwide by serving gelato in the shape of a flower.

The company was founded in 2002 by Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi, two childhood friends from Reggio Emilia.
Amorino boutiques additionally offer macarons, crêpes, waffles, tarts, milkshakes and Italian-style coffee.
History


The first Amorino boutique opened in 2002 at the Ile Saint Louis in Paris, France.
In 2005, the Gelato production was centralized into one laboratory.
In 2006, the franchise-based expansion was launched.
In 2009, the first boutique outside of France opened.
In 2011, headquarters and the central laboratory were relocated to Orly France. This year also marked the entrance of Amorino in the US in New York.
In 2015, all Amorino sorbets received the Vegan Society certification.
In 2016, Amorino celebrated the opening of the 150th boutique in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on the world-renowned Quinta Avenida.
In 2017, all Gelato and Sorbeti became Gluten-Free.
In 2019, Amorino opened the 18th market.
In 2020, Amorino celebrated the opening of 200th store, again in Mexico, on the iconic Angel of Independence roundabout in Mexico City.

Organic and Vegan Certifications
Amorino's artisanal gelatos – entirely natural and free of colorings, preservatives, and artificial flavorings – are made from fresh milk and free-range organic eggs.
Since 2011, the brand has created over 20 organic flavors, each of which has received ECOCERT certification. Developing new organic flavors will continue to be a priority for Amorino.
To satisfy customers who do not wish to consume animal-derived products, all cone sizes are vegan, and all sorbets have received certification from The Vegan Society and are made according to the following ethical charter:
· No use of animal or animal-derived products.
· No use of products that have been tested on animals, or that use animals.
· Minimize risks of cross contamination with animal products.
