The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences requested a copy of American Night's screenplay to be kept in its core collection.[1]

Plot

A courier carrying Andy Warhol’s famous “Pink Marilyn” arrives in New York City. Art and life collide as John Kaplan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) tries to juggle the mob and his talent as an art forger with his love for Sarah Flores (Paz Vega).[2][3]

Release

In August 2021, it was announced that Saban Films acquired North American distribution rights to the film.[4] It premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September 2021 and was released in select theaters in the U.S.[5][6][7]

Cast

Other cast members include Michael Madsen, Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Marco Leonardi. Singer-songwriter Anastacia has a cameo appearance to perform the film's title song.[8][9]
