Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, formerly Allahabad State University, is a state university established on 17 June 2016 by the government of Uttar Pradesh in Allahabad (Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, India.

Allahabad State University was established by then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav on 17 June 2016 with the efforts of Member of Parliament Kunwar Rewati Raman Singh, after the change of power in the state, the newly appointed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath renamed Allahabad State University after Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya).

It is a residential-cum-affiliating University. University began its first season in 2016-17 at 562 colleges of Allahabad, Kaushambi, Fatehpur and Pratapgarh. These 562 colleges of Allahabad, Kaushambi, Fatehpur and Pratapgarh were formerly affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad.[2][3][4]
