Career

Alex Lanier started playing badminton at the age of 3 and joined the dives-sur-Mer badminton club.[1] He quickly won regional tournaments.

In 2019, he left the badminton club of Dives-sur-Mer, to join the club of Strasbourg to take part, at the age of 14, in the Top 12, the highest French division of team badminton. In 2020, he joined INSEP at the age of only 15.[2]

In June 2021, he competed in the Lithuanian International tournament and won his first international title in the final by defeating Canada's player B. R. Sankeerth .[3] After that, he managed to advance to the final at the Latvia International tournament, but lost to India's Meiraba Luwang Maisnam but he managed to advance to the final again at Italian International tournament and won his second international title by defeating Czech's player Jan Louda.[4][5]
