Akoin (AKN) is a cryptocurrency developed by Senegalese-American R&B singer Akon. Akon is the co-founder and chairman of Akoin along with Jon Karas and Lynn Lisa. [1][2]

Akon is in the process of building a utopian city, Akon City, in Senegal, which would accept Akoin as currency. The $6 billion city that Akon proposes is described as a "real-life Wakanda".[3][4]
