African Central Bank

The African Central Bank (ACB) Is the Sole Issuer of the AFRA CURRENCY, for the benefit of Continental Africa . The African Central Bank(ACB) Charged by the African Finance Regulatory Authority (AFRA) with it's headquarters in Marondera, Zimbabwe, is the Banker of All the Central Banks, Government Departments , Corporates and Large Consortia in Africa.

ACB regulates and supervises the African banking industry,set the official interest and exchange rates; all in conjunction with the African Governments' administrations.

ACB was a roll out project that began May 2015 under the sole supervision of the AFRA Commission, Charged by the African Finance Regulatory Authority. The mandate of the African Finance Regulatory Authority is guided by Article 19 of the OAU Constitutive Act, the 1991 Abuja Treaty as agreed by the Assembly of Member States for the Single AFRA Payments Area (SAPA), the Common Economic and Monetary Systems and the creation of the African Central Bank (ACB), as charged by the African Finance Regulatory Authority. The creation of the African Central Bank(ACB) was Completed in August 2017.

The African Star Treaty Alliance Group(ASTAG) was declared by African Heads of States and Governments in 1990, and was given the Mandate together with AFRA at the Fourth Extraordinary Session of the Sirte Convention in Libya,1999.

Dr. Agrippa Damba, is The Executive Governor of The African Finance Regulatory Authority (AFRA) and The President of The African Central Bank (ACB).
