Administrative detention (Russia)

In Russia and some other post-Soviet states, administrative detention (Russian: Административный арест, administrative arrest) is an incarceration according to Part 4, Article 32.8 of Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses served for an administrative offense of grave type, such as malicious defiance of police or military, petty hooliganism, etc.[1] It was inherited from the law of the Soviet Union.
