Zoe Hobbs
Zoe Hobbs (born 11 September 1997) is a New Zealand athlete.[1][2] She set the NZ under 19 and under-20 100m record of 11.53 secs (+1.7) on 20 Jul 2016 in a heat of the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships at Zdzislaw Krzyszkowiak Stadium, Bydgoszcz, Poland,[3] progressing as the sixth fastest qualifier to the semi-finals where she ran 11.67 (+0.4). Summer Universiades in Taipei City and Napoli, respectively, and made the final of the 200m in the 2019 Napoli Universiade (Zoe had previously progressed to the semi-finals in the 100m of the 2013 World Youth (under-18) Championships). She represented NZ in the 100 metres and 200 metres events at the 2019 World Athletics Championships.

In 2021 Hobbs twice equalled the NZ 100m record of 11.32, held by Michelle Seymour, before lowering it on 18 December to 11.27 (+1.7).[4] In early 2022 she broke the 100m record twice more with 11.21 (+1.7) on 22 January and 11.15 (+1.4) on 12 February,[5] and then ran a wind-assisted 11.07 (+2.7) on 5 March to win her fifth consecutive National 100m title, all at Hawkes Bay Sports Park, Hastings. The 11.15 is the current NZ All-Comers Record.[3][6]
At the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships in mid-March 2022 Hobbs broke the Oceania indoor 60 metres record with 7.13 seconds[7] to be seventh fastest in the heats, thus qualifying for the semi-finals where she ran 7.16, just 0.02 seconds outside a finals berth. Hobbs won the 2022 Australian Athletics Championships 100m on 1 April 2022 in a new meeting record time of 11.17 (+1.1).[8]
