Wilhelm Brülle

Wilhelm Brülle (17 February 1891 – 5 August 1917) was a German gymnast who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics.[1] He was born in Lippstadt. In 1912 he was a member of the German team which finished fourth in the team, free system competition and fifth in the team, European system event.[2]

The teams represented the General Academic Gymnastics Association Leipzig (German: Allgemeiner Akademischer Turnerbund Leipzig). Brülle studied mathematics and was killed-in-action during World War I in Belgium in 1917, while serving as a sergeant with the 7th Line Infantry Regiment "Braunschweig-Bevern" (Prussia). [3]
