Wendouree Centre for the Performing Arts

The Wendouree Centre for the Performing Arts is a multi-purpose performance venue located in Howitt Street Wendouree, in the Victorian town of Ballarat in south east Australia. It was completed in mid-2006 replacing the ageing "Timkin Hall" as Wendouree's premier theatre. It was built at an estimated cost of $8 million. The main auditorium seats 857 and the stage area has the capacity to handle performances ranging from opera, pipe bands, and live theatre to orchestral and ensemble presentations.
