Viktor Tsyhankov

Viktor Vitaliyovych Tsyhankov (Ukrainian: Віктор Віталійович Циганков; born 15 November 1997) is an Israeli-born Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for FC Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukraine national football team.

Club career

Born in Nahariya, Israel, where his father Vitaliy Tsyhankov played as footballer, Tsyhankov came to Ukraine when he was very young. Tsyhankov is a product of the Nyva Vinnytsia and Dynamo Kyiv sport schools. His first coach was Mykola Zahoruyko.[2]

He made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League for Dynamo on 14 August 2016, in the match against FC Stal Kamianske.[3] During 2018–2019 Tsyhankov was recognized as a player of the month in the Ukrainian Premier League on three occasions (March 2018,[4] December 2018,[5] and April 2019[6]).

International career

Tsyhankov got his first call up to the senior Ukraine side for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Turkey and Kosovo in October 2016.[7] He first saw the pitch in Ukraine's World Cup qualifying match against Finland that November, coming on in the 83rd minute.[8]
