Victory Day (film)
Victory Day is a 2018 German documentary film written and directed by Sergei Loznitsa. It deals with the remembrance of the Great Patriotic War by observing the crowds at the Victory Day celebrations on 9th May 2017 held at the Soviet War Memorial (Treptower Park) located in Berlin. The colour film employs unobtrusive telephoto lens and, although lacking a narrator, commentary, or voice over is distinguished by the style of sound editing, with amplified ambient sound.
