Via.com, formerly known as FlightRaja.com, is a Indian travel portal and online travel company based in Bangalore, India. Founded on 25 July 2006 and incorporated in February 2007, Via.com networks with more than 100,000 partners across 10,000 towns and cities globally.[1] In November 2017, Via.com was acquired by Ebix for $74.9 million.[2]

Background
Via was founded in a small garage on 9th A Main Road, 2nd Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore[3] on 25 July 2006 (incorporated in February 2007[3]) by Vinay Gupta, Amit Aggarwal, Harsh Azad and Rohit Gaddi.
The Company is one of the fast growing & profitable travel company in Asia's online space driven by technology, better buying due to demand aggregation & forward cash flows. The Company is a leading distributor of transportation ticketing, accommodation reservation, packaged tours, corporate travel management, travel ancillaries, retail and financial services. VIA offers a comprehensive suite of travel & retail products and growing set of financial services products, provided by 10,000+ suppliers on the platform. The company offers its services through a robust, highly scalable cloud based technology platform consisting of mobile apps, websites, corporate platform, and a centralized, toll-free, 24-hour customer service center.
The company spread to few hundred cities and became the market leader for several airlines. Then they looked to see similar macros globally and ventured into Philippines, Indonesia and now Via operates globally.[4][5]
Financing
In 2007, Via received a funding of 5 million dollars from NEA IndoUS Ventures. This funding assisted Via in expanding themselves beyond airline services.[6]
In 2010, Sequoia Capital had closed a $10 USD million infusion of funds into Via’s holding company FlightRaja Travels.[7]
In November 2017, Via.com was acquired by Ebix for $74.9 million.[2]
