Vejsil Varupa

Vejsil Varupa (born 25 January 1971) is a Bosnian former footballer.[1]

During the Bosnian War, he was a member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was rumored to have been killed in 1994. A big talent, he played alongside future starts like Zlatko Zahović and Mario Stanić for Yugoslav representative teams, but his career ended at age 22 after he was seriously injured in a road accident where teammate Esad Zilkić died.[2][3]

Personal life

He was the older brother of Elvedin Varupa.[4]
