VeVe

VeVe is an Android & iOS app released by Ecomi which provides a marketplace for licensed digital collectibles.[1][2] The app is the first platform to offer NFTs from brands such as Marvel, DC, Disney, Star Wars, Givenchy, Coca-Cola and Pixar.[3][4][5][6][7][8]

History

From June 21-26, 2021 VeVe partnered with Givenchy to release a series of NFT art pieces by Amar Singh supporting LGBTQIA+ causes.[9][10][11]

On August 7, 2021 VeVe partnered with Marvel Entertainment to release the first ever NFT of Spider-Man.[12][13][14]

On September 8, 2021 VeVe partnered with Star Trek to release a series of NFTs based on iconic starships such as the Enterprise-D and Borg Cube.[15][16][17]

On November 2, 2021 VeVe partnered with the United States Postal Service to create NFT stamp collectibles to commemorate the Day of the Dead holiday, with a second Christmas themed set released in December.[18][19][20]

From November 7-12, 2021 VeVe partnered with Disney to release a series of NFT collectibles called the "Golden Moments", featuring iconic characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars as a part of a Disney+ Day promotion.[21][22][23]

On December 22, 2021, VeVe partnered with Disney to release a collection for the iconic Steamboat Willie character.[24][25] In February 2022, Disney partnered again with VeVe to produce a set of interactive lenticular card NFTs from Mickey & Friends including characters such as Goofy, Pluto, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Minnie Mouse.[26]

On February 16, 2022, Chaosium, the makers of Call of Cthulhu, announced that they were suspending the production of their NFTs on VeVe due to an outcry from some of their user base.[27]
