Vallavan Oruvan
Vallavan Oruvan (transl. The talented man) is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language thriller film, directed by R. Sundaram and written by A. L. Narayanan. Produced by Modern Theatres, with music composed by Vedha, the film stars Jaishankar and L. Vijayalakshmi.[1] Loosely based on the 1964 French film Shadow of Evil, it was released on 11 November 1966.[2]

Plot
On an investigation regarding arson crimes, a C.I.D. officer is shot dead. C.I.D. Shankar starts an investigation on the death of his colleague. He quickly unravels the mystery behind his colleague's death and the mastermind behind the incendiary crimes. Will Shankar be able to wipe out these terrorists?

Soundtrack
Music was composed by Vedha and lyrics were written by Kannadasan.[4] The song "Palinginal Oru Maligai" is based on Artie Shaw's version of "Frenesi".[5]
