Tofiga Vaevalu Falani
Tofiga Vaevalu Falani MBE[1] was appointed the President of Te Ekalesia Kelisiano Tuvalu in 2008,[2] and represented the church at meetings of the World Council of Churches, Central Committee in 2009,[3] and 2011.[4] In 2021 he was appointed as the Governor-General of Tuvalu. The 29 September 2021 was the date of his investiture ceremony.

Falani had been previously appointed as Acting Governor General on 14 August 2017, to perform the functions of Sir Iakoba Taeia Italeli when he was absent from Tuvalu.[5]
He was appointed as a Member of the British Empire for public and community service in the 2014 New Year Honours.[6]
