The Valet (2022 film)
The Valet is an American romantic comedy film directed by Richard Wong from a screenplay by Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher. It is a remake of the French film The Valet (2006) by Francis Veber. It stars Eugenio Derbez and Samara Weaving, with Betsy Brandt, Carmen Salinas, Amaury Nolasco, Marisol Nichols, Diany Rodriguez, Tiana Okoye, John Pirruccello, Ravi Patel, Noemi Gonzalez, and Lunay in supporting roles. It is set to be released on Hulu on May 20, 2022.

Premise
A movie star enlists a parking valet at a Beverly Hills restaurant to pose as her lover to cover for her relationship with a married man.[1]

Production
In September 2014, it was announced Eugenio Derbez would produce and star in a remake of the 2006 French film The Valet by Francis Veber, with Pantelion Films set to produce, and Lionsgate set to distribute.[2] In March 2021, it was announced Samara Weaving had joined the cast of the film, with Richard Wong set to direct from a screenplay by Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher.[3] The rest of the cast was revealed in April and May.[4][5][1] Filming took place in Atlanta, Georgia.
During post-production, Heitor Pereira composed the musical score.[6]
Release
In July 2021, Hulu acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film, with Disney+ set to distribute internationally through the Star content hub.[7] It is set to be released on May 20, 2022.[8]
