Tactical Knives

Tactical Knives (ISSN 1079-865X) was a knife magazine that was published six times per year by Harris Publications.[1] The magazine had its headquarters in New York City.[2] It directly focused on those who actually carry and use knives as opposed to collectors. Typical articles included reviews about knives intended for hunting, hiking, canoeing, wilderness survival, street defense and military combat among other topics.[3]

Reviews

A popular review[4] of Tactical Knives was made by the youtuber, "BackwoodsBlades", on July 22nd, 2010. In this review, "BackwoodsBlades" speaks on the September 2010 issue of Tactical Knives magazine by stating that the magazine is an "absolute great magazine" and that knife users should "give this a shot". Additionally, "BackwoodsBlades" described the contents having "a good bit of reviews" and some of the content including a "couple page reviews".

The only drawbacks of the Tactical Knives magazine, according to the youtuber, "BackwoodsBlades", were stated that it is a "very expensive magazine" and that they release the magazine bi-monthly, in which he stated in relation, "really sucks".

A "Bladeforums.com" forum[5] created on April 1st, 2006, titled "Tactical Knives Magazine.....", had multiple users talking on the magazine itself and a specific article in the magazine. A remark included in the forum, in relation to the magazine itself, was made by user "Harry White"[6] describing Tactical Knives as "a great mag!". Article specific remarks on the forum include: "It has always been my favorite magazine. I've been reading it since it first came out." from forum user "Gossman Knives"[7] and "The article is well worth the read" from user "TNRat".[8]

Another "Bladeforums.com" forum[9] created on October 10th, 2008, titled "The best knife magazine..." had two users make remarks on the Tactical Knives magazine. Forum creator, "kancler", stated that, "Tactical knives is good for both pictures and articles."[10]. Another forum user by the name of, "rooikat",[11] stated that, "Tactical knives is my favorite.".
