Professional wrestling career

Early career

Yuta made his Combat Zone Wrestling debut in late 2015 and consistently appeared for CZW until late 2016. Gruber made his debut for Major League Wrestling in a losing effort to MJF on the MLW One Shot event in late 2017. His last match for the promotion would be in 2019 vs Low-Ki.

Ring of Honor (2020, 2022-present)

Yuta made his ROH debut against Jonathan Gresham in the first round of an ROH Pure Championship tournament.

After Tony Khan's purchase of Ring of Honor, it was announced that Yuta would face Josh Woods at the revived Supercard of Honor XV for the ROH Pure Championship. Yuta would defeat Woods and win the title at the event.

All Elite Wrestling (2021-present)

Yuta would make his AEW debut on the 29 June 2021 episode of AEW Dark Elevation vs Karl Anderson and consistently appear on AEW’s YouTube shows throughout the coming months. Yuta would also join Best Friends in 2021. Yuta made his PWG debut at their Battle of Los Angeles 2022 pay per view by defeating Blake Christian in the first round but would lose the second round match to Mike Bailey. Yuta impressed Blackpool Combat Club leader William Regal in a match against Bryan Danielson on the March 30 edition of AEW Dynamite and their post match interaction heavily teased Yuta joining down the line. The April 8th, 2022 episode of AEW Rampage saw Yuta lose in a hard-fought match to Jon Moxley and would officially joined the Blackpool Combat Club after being welcomed by Regal.
