In comparison to earlier Deep Sea Warrior bathyscaphe that is 95% domestically built, the rate is further increased to 96.5% for Struggler bathyscaphe,[4][6]but due to the latter can dive much deeper, in fact, more than twice of that of the former, a significant portion of the onboard equipment has to be allocated to support the dive, and thus in comparison to the ten-hour endurance of Deep Sea Warrior bathyscape, the endurance of Struggler bathyscaphe is drastically reduced by forty percent to six hours,[1][2]but Struggler bathyscaphe can dive and surface much faster than Deep Sea Warrior,[3]and its crew compartment is built of new titanium alloy Ti62A, specially developed for use on Struggler,[7]with new welding method.[3][4][6][7]The general designer of Struggler bathyscaphe is Mr. Ye Cong (叶聪).[3][6]The mechanical arms of Struggler was developed by Shenyang Institute of Automation, and each is capable of handling 60 kg of weight.[8]The motherships of Struggler bathyscaphe are the same ones of Deep Sea Warrior bathyscaphe: Chinese research vessel Explorer 1(Tan-Suo 1, or 探索一号 in Chinese) and Explorer 2.[1][3][4][5][6][8]Specification:[1][2][3][4][5]
