St. Joseph's Hospital[1][2][3] is a 451-bed[4][5] medical facility in upstate New York.[6] The hospital[7] is one of a growing number with "a separate psychiatric emergency department;" theirs has 10 beds and it opened in 2007.[8]

History

The hospital opened May 6, 1869.[9] Together with two other hospitals they formed a partnership named St. Joseph Hospital Health Center.[10][11]

Controversy

St. Joseph's was fined $3.2 million for employing unlicensed mental health counselors.[12]
