SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is an upcoming platform game based on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Developed by Purple Lamp Studios,[1] who had previously developed the title SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, it will be published by THQ Nordic. It is set to release for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.[2]

Gameplay

The Cosmic Shake is a 3D platformer.[3] As SpongeBob, the player navigates through several distinctly themed worlds, known as ''Wishworlds" within the game, with the aid of Patrick, who has been transformed into a balloon.[4][5]

Development

THQ Nordic first announced the game on September 17, 2021, as a part of their 10th-anniversary showcase.[6] Like SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, the game features voices in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish (both Spain and Latin American), Polish and Japanese, along with text and subtitle support in Portuguese, Russian, Malay, Thai, Korean and Simplified Chinese.
