Any investor can create a model portfolio (smallcases) or invest in professionally managed smallcases.[3][4][5]Some examples of smallcases are all-weather or small-total investing, and top 100 stocks.[6]The platform has a subsidiary called Windmill Capitals that operate as one of the portfolio managers. The investor should pay a research fee to smallcase manager to operate.[7]Smallcase is focussed on retail investors.[8][9]

History

Smallcase was founded in 2015 by Vasanth Kamath, Anugrah Shrivastava, and Rohan Gupta[10]who studied at IIT Kharagpur.[7] The platform provides investment products for Demat account holders or stock investors.[3][11] It has an interface to invest in multiple baskets of stocks.[12][13]
