Simeen Hussain Rimi

Simin Hussain Rimi is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent member of parliament for Gazipur-4.The sun rose on 19 August 1971 and she was born on Saturday morning at her home in 17 no,kakrun lane,Old Dhaka.She was elected as a "Member of Parliament" in the 10th Parliamentary Elections held on 5 January, 2014 and in the 11th Parliamentary Elections on 31 December,2018.She is also the Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Culture.She is a writer too.

Early life and education

Simeen Hussain Rimi was born in 1961 to a Bengali Muslim political family. Her father was Tajuddin Ahmad, the inaugural Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and her mother was Syed Zohra, another prominent politician. Rimi has two sisters, Mahjabin Ahmad Mimi and Sharmin Ahmad Reepi, and a brother, Sohel Taj.[1] She married Mushtaq Hussain.[2]

Career

Rimi is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Gazipur-4 (Kapasia).[3]
