Shristi Shrestha

Shristi Shrestha (Nepali: सृष्टी श्रेष्ठ, Listen ) is a Nepalese film actress and the winner of the Miss Nepal World 2012 pageant, who works in Nepali cinema. Shrestha has received several awards including National Film Award, Kamana Film Award, and Dcine Award.

Career

Miss Nepal

Shristi represented her hometown of Chitwan during Miss Nepal 2012 beauty pageant as Miss Chitwan 2012. She went on to win the main title of Miss Nepal World 2012 along with the Miss Confidence title.

She is the first Miss Nepal to reach the quarter finals (20th Place) of the Miss World. Although she finished 20th in the entire Miss World pageant, she was able to achieve the 8th position in Beach Beauty and was one of the top 10 contestants for the Multimedia Award. She also won the 'Public Choice award' during the Miss world pageant.[1] She was placed as the Top 10 Dancers in Miss World 2012.

Acting

She debuted in the Nepali movie Gajalu opposite Anmol K.C. She debuted her theater career with the role of Ophelia in Shakespeare's Hamlet, which ran for a month in the Theater Village in Kathmandu. The play was organised by the British Council, and directed by Gregory Thomson.[2]

Personal life

Shristi Shrestha is the seventh Young Conservation Ambassador in WWF Nepal.[3][4] Shristi is involved with Snow Leopard conservation projects at WWF Nepal.[4] Since 2016, she has been in a relationship with Saugat Malla.
