History

Since its launch in the 1980s, Select Fashion has come a long way and in 2004, they developed a strategy to drive the company away from being known as a ‘value’ ladies retailer and instead, a more fashion forward high-street brand. In 2020, Select moved its Head Office from Kentish town to Edmonton in order to expand its DC (distribution centre) and further develop their website for a more diverse online shopping experience for their customers. In October 2020, a network of garment factories in Leicester, some of which have supplied retailers such as Boohoo and Select, were involved with money laundering and VAT fraud,[7] however, there is no suggestion that Select Fashion knew about the fraud within its supply chain . In 2008, the chain first went into administration and was bought out. The chain faced administration in 2019 again before being bought out.[8][9]
