Satans Slaves Motorcycle Club

The Satans Slaves Motorcycle Club or Satans Slaves MC are a European one-percenter outlaw motorcycle club primarily based out of England, UK.[2] Along with the rivaling Road Rats Motorcycle Club, they are said to be one among the country's oldest and largest outlaw motorcycle clubs.

They are not to be confused with the New Zealand-based club that was founded in 1969.[3] They are also unrelated to the earlier, now-defunct biker gang in the United States which ended up "patching over" to the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club on New Years Day of 1978.[4][5]

Background

Satans Slaves MC was first established in Shipley, England in 1967. Soon after, two additional chapters of the groups emerged in England: one in Devon and another somewhere on the nation's east coast. They would later continue to expand across England.[6]

Later, in 1985, a group of three Scottish bikers from Dundee, Scotland joined the Fife chapter of the group as prospective members ("prospects"). After the trio eventually became fully-initiated ("fully-patched") members of the club, they, along with other club members, established a chapter in Tayside in October 1986.[7]

During 2004, Satans Slaves Motorcycle Club expanded into Germany – first in Gronau, and subsequently in the town of Velbert. Three years later, the group opened a chapter in Metelen.

Criminal allegations and incidents

A brawl broke out in 1983 in London, England between 24 Satans Slaves bikers and 6 members of the Road Rats Motorcycle Club at an event sponsored by the Hells Angels. The large-scale fight resulted in the stabbing death of two Road Rats members: Colin Hunting and Mike Harrison. Dozens of arrests were made after the incident and police recovered chains, axes, firearms, knives, lead-filled handlebars and baseball bats from the scene.[8][9][10]

That same year, bikers belonging to the Road Rats allegedly forced members of the Satans Slaves into a warehouse, which was then set on fire. While no casualties occurred, four people sustained serious injuries, resulting in several arrests.[11]
