Samantha Jones (civil servant)
Samantha Jones was appointed interim permanent secretary and chief operating officer of the new Office of the Prime Minister in February 2022. She was previously Boris Johnson's Expert Advisor on NHS Transformation and Social Care.[1]
It was reported that she plans to reduce the number of political aides and civil servants working directly for Johnson in 10 Downing Street.[2]

In 2008 it was reported that she was involved in appointing Ruth Harrison, the former chief executive of Stoke Mandeville Hospital, her sister-in-law, as lead consultant on a review of maternity services at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust.[4]
