Rollo (name)

Rollo is a Scottish surname and male given name derived from a Latinised version of the personal name Rou(l), the Norman form of Rolfr or Rolf.[1]

The surname appeared in Scotland with the arrival of Eric de Rollo, secretary to William the Conquerer. Members of the Scottish Clan Rollo were supporters of Charles II of Scotland and were rewarded with the title of Lord Rollo.[2]
