Raquel Kasham Daniel

Raquel Kasham Daniel is an educator, social entrepreneur and author[1] of several books including FLOW: a girl's guide to menstruation.[2] She has received numerous awards for her works with educating marginalised children in Nigeria.[3][4] She is also a recipient of the African Luther King Heroes Award.[5] She founded Beyond the Classroom Foundation as a response to the social and educational needs of underprivileged children[6] and created Nzuriaiki.com an online platform that connects nonprofits with volunteers in Africa.[7]

Early life

According to her account from interviews, she is from Kaduna State and lived in Kaduna and Lagos most of her life. The first child in a family of four and the only girl. She lost her dad when she was six and her mother four years later.[8][6]

Education

Raquel is an alumnus of University of Lagos.[3]
