Rachelle Bukuru

Rachelle Bukuru is a Burundian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Kigoma Queens and the Burundi national team.[1][2]

Club career

Bukuru has played for Onze Etoiles in Burundi.[3] She plays for Kigoma Queens in Burundi.[2]

International career

In 2017, Bukuru played for the Burundi U20 team.[4] She played in the 2018 African U-20 Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament featuring alongside Djafar Asha who was the captain of the team and Joëlle Bukuru. They were eliminated by South Africa in the second round of the qualifiers.[5] Bukuru was promoted to the senior team and earned a place in Burundi squad for the 2019 CECAFA Women's Championship.[6]

In 2022, Bukuru was a member of the Burundi squad that qualified for their first African Women's Cup of Nations, after defeating Djibouti 11–1 on aggregate.[7][8]
