Pyrohova Street (Chernihiv)

Pyrohova Street (Ukrainian: Вулиця Пирогова is a street in the Novozavodsk district of the city of Chernihiv. It runs from Myru Avenue to Starobelousskaya Street. Lyubechskaya street adjoins.[2][3][4][5][6]

History

Nadezhdinskaya street was laid at the end of the 19th century and was built up with individual houses. After the Great Patriotic War, several 5-story houses were erected here, a blood transfusion station (house No. No. 15) and the 9-storey building of the city hospital (house No. 7).

In 1960, the street received its current name - in honor of the surgeon, doctor of medicine, corresponding member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov.

Building

The beginning of the street (up to the junction of Lyubechskaya street) is occupied by the territory of medical institutions, multi-storey residential (5-storey buildings) and manor (6 houses near Prospekt Mira) buildings. The end of the street is occupied mainly by manor and partially multi-storey residential (two 5-storey buildings) buildings.
