Punyashlok Ahilyabai
Punyashlok Ahilyabai is an Indian Hindi-language historical television show that is being aired on SET(Sony Entertainment Television) from 4 January 2021. The show is based on the life of queen Ahilyabai Holkar who reigned over the region of Malwa from 1767 to 1795. It stars Aetashaa Sansgiri, Rajesh Shringarpure, Gaurav Amlani, Aditi Jaltare, Krish Chauhan and Snehalata Vasaikar in lead roles. Dashami Creations produce the show.

- Aetashaa Sansgiri as Ahilyabai Holkar: Mankoji Shinde and Sushilabai's daughter; Khanderao's first wife; Subedar Malhar Rao Holkar and Rani Gautamabai Holkar's daughter-in-law. She was married at the age of nine. She is kind-hearted, intelligent, religious, mischievous, honest, hard-working and open-minded girl who wishes to study. She struggles under the clutches of a patriarchal society to gain equal rights as men but later overcomes all barriers, with her sheer dedication and support of her father-in-law, and becomes an inspiration for generations to come. She tries to make Khanderao happy and tries to make him her friend but fails miserably, yet she never loses hope and eventually does friendship with him soon. But soon Khanderao has to go away from Malwa for 7 years because of being angry on his teacher. After Khanderao came she got to know about Khanderao's drinking habit and distanced herself from him. Khanderao didn't like this and tried to confess his love for Ahilya. (2021–present)

- Rajesh Shringarpure[1] as Subedar Malhar Rao Holkar: The King of Malwa region under the Maratha empire; Gautama Bai, Dwarka Bai, Bana Bai and Harku Bai's husband; Khanderao and Seeta Bai's father; Gunoji, Ahilya and Parvati's father-in-law. He is a courageous, kind, and intelligent man who is deeply respected and loved by all. He decides to marry his son to a village girl called Ahilya when he stops by at the village on his course and is immensely impressed by her intelligence, courage and kindness towards others. He decides so because he thinks that having a wife like Ahilya will make his son more responsible, who is gearing up to become the future ruler of the kingdom of Malwa. He is an open-minded person who is not in favour of orthodox beliefs and traditions and supports Ahilya whenever she is scolded by her mother-in-law or is treated unequally by her husband. - Gaurav Amlani[2] as Khande Rao Holkar: Subedar Malhar Rao Holkar and Gautamabai Holkar's only son; Seetabai's younger brother; Ahilya and Parvati's husband. He usually don't realise his responsibilities and due to his short temper he did something which led him to go to gurukul. Where he got influenced by someone who made him addicted to alcohol. He made a friend there, Parikshit. Khanderao learnt sword fighting there and became a good warrior. He is little upset from his father because of his strict principles. He loves Ahilya immensely as she cares about him so much since they got married. (2021–present)

- Snehalata Vasaikar[3] as Queen Gautama Bai Holkar. Subedar Malhar Rao Holkar's first wife; Malwa's Chief Queen; Khanderao's mother and Ahilya and Parvati's mother-in-law. She is clever, intelligent and smart. She wants her son to be Subhedar of Malwa and wants him to be a responsible son. She loves her son and her daughter-in-law a lot. (2021–present)

She supports and cares a lot about Ahilya and treats her like a best friend,guides her and makes her feel comfortable with her they both share their secrets to each other and many times she helps her in her plans. - Sukhada Khandkekar as Queen Dwarka Bai Sahib Holkar: Subedar Malhar Rao Holkar's second wife; Seetabai's mother and Gunoji's mother-in-law. She loves Khanderao as her son but cannot see him become the king's successor. She always brainwashes Khanderao to do wrongdoings so that the king gets frustrated and removes him from the post of his successor but is scared of Ahilya's presence (as Ahilya is intelligent). She is scared of the fact that if Khanderao and Ahilya become friends then he will become responsible and intelligent which will ruin her dream of becoming Rajmata. She wants her son-in-law Gunoji to be the future king of Malwa and her daughter Seetabai as the future queen of Malwa. (antagonist) (2021–present)

Cameo
- Dushyant Wagh as Bhola, who had disguised himself as Lord Shiva for an act which Ahilya by mistake thought to be an original god when she ran away from the palace. He was the one who advised Ahilya to go back to the palace to her in-laws. Later Gunoji and Dhanaji's man seriously injured him. (2021)
Production
Development
The series was announced by Dashami Creations and was confirmed in December 2020 by Sony TV.[4]
The first promo of the series was released on 5 December 2020.[5]
In July 2021, it was confirmed that the show is taking a leap of 7 years and Aetashaa Sansgiri, Gaurav Amlani and Sidharth Banerjee will portray grown up Ahilya, Khanderao and Tukoji, respectively.
Kinshuk Vaidya was finalized for the role of adult Khanderao Holkar, a contract was signed between him and the makers of Punyashlok Ahilyabai, even the promo was ready but he opted out at the last minute, before starting the shoot because he got another project and so the makers informed CINTAA about his unprofessionalism. Then, with no time left, Makers finalized Gaurav Amlani as Khanderao Holkar.
