Scholarship

As the largest scholarship-providing university in Nepal, Pokhara University provides scholarships to 10 percent of approved students in affiliated colleges and 20 percent of approved students in constituent schools. The graduates from government and non-government schools or colleges are eligible to apply for scholarships and financial supports.

Until 2017, only students who passed SLC in government schools were eligible to receive scholarships. But from 2021, priority is given to students who passed class 6 to 10 from government school (government school can be different). The remaining quota is then distributed to students who passed only 10 class from government school. Here, students who passed class 7/8/9 to 10 from government school are counted separately from those that passed 6 to 10, giving them less chance to receive scholarships. Lastly, students from non-government schools can also apply, but their chances of receiving a scholarship are almost zero due to the new 2021 provision.

The PU Scholarship Selection Examination decides to award scholarships based on entrance score & applicant's credentials in plus two.[4]
