PBA Tour Bowling 2001 is a 2000 bowling sports-based video game developed and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is licensed by the Professional Bowlers Association.

Gameplay

In single-player mode, players can test their skills against AI opponents whose skills are based on actual PBA pros.[4] The game's online multiplayer supports for up to 4 players, including dedicated server support with stat-keeping and a ladder ranking system will be included. Players can have games across platforms (PC vs. Dreamcast).[5] The multiplayer support was driven by GameSpy.[5]

Development

The game was announced in May 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast.[1][3]The PC version of the game went gold on November 11, 2000.[6]

Reception

IGN rated the game a 5.6 out of 10 stating"Granted, that's more than a certain predecessor can claim, but as the situation stands, it ain't a ballsy enough proposition to convince enthusiastic bowlers to part with their precious pesos" [7]
