Norma (comic artist)

Norbert Morandière (20 February 1946 – 1 January 2021), who used the pen name Norma, was a French comic book artist.[1][2]

Biography

Norbert Morandière made his debut in 1971 in the fanzine Falatoff where he used the pseudonym Marcus for a year, before choosing Norma.

Norma is best known for having drawn Captain Apache for a long time, a children's series written by Roger Lécureux and appearing in Pif Gadget.

From the 1990s, he turned to historical comics with series pre-published in Vécu magazine from Glénat editions, such as Les Souvenirs de la pendule and Pieter Hoorn, or Saïto from Soleil Productions.

Morandière died on 1 January 2021 in Angoulême.[3]
