Nikolai Gerasimenko
Nikolai Fedorovich Gerasimenko (Russian: Никола́й Фёдорович Герасиме́нко) is a Russian surgeon and politician. He was born on December 1, 1950, in Verkh-Suyetka, in the former Soviet Union.

He studied at Altai State Medical University. He was a member of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th State Dumas, and was a member of the 7th State Duma until its dissolution in 2021. He worked for I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
He is a member of the United Russia faction. As a surgeon he performed about 10,000 operations. He is an Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (2002; since 2013 - the Russian Academy of Sciences), member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, and a member of the council of the all-Russian public organization "League of the Health of the Nation".
