Nalukulangara Maha Devi Temple[1] is situated in Kuthiathode Panchayath. It is one of the prominent Devi temples in Alappuzha. It is situated 1 km away from Pattukulangara Jn. The idol of the goddess Bhadrakali (popularly known as "Nalukulangara Amma") together with Sivan, Subrahmanyan, Bhalabhadra, etc. It is popularly called"Nalukulangara Mahadevi". Temple Annual Fest (KODIYETTU ULSAVOM - MALAYALAM CALANDER MAKAROM - MAKOM THOZHAL and POORAM) is very famous & popular. Vrichikom 1st PONGALA especially ladies' fest.

Nalukulangara Pooram

Nalukulangara Pooram is a popular temple festival of the South Indian state of Kerala. It is held at the Nalukulangara Devi Temple in Alleppy District every year on the 'Pooram' (Malayalam: പൂരം, pronounced [puːɾam]) day of the Malayalam Calendar month of 'Makaram'. 'Pooram' day is the day when the moon rises with the Pooram star. People celebrate pooram without any religious difference. And it is a good time for street vendors.
