Reception

Sayantan Gayen from Comic Book Resources, reviewing the first issue, praised the artists.[9] Ritesh Babu from Polygon was also pleased with their work.[10] Nicole Drum of ComicBook.com, reviewing the debut, wrote that "Overall, Monkey Prince #1 is a very good comic."[11] Gregory Ellner of Multiversity Comics gave the first issue a 6.5 rating and noted problems with the script, but praised the work of the artists.[12]
