Miss Malaya 1954, was held on 28 June 1954 at the Capitol Theatre, Singapore. 20 contestants from across Malaya, Singapore and Borneo participated in this year's competition.[1][2] A 21-year-old air hostess Marjorie Wee represented Malayan Airways won the title at the end of the event.[3][4] Wee was supposed to represent Malaya yet then she had to represent Singapore in the Miss Universe 1954 pageant in Long Beach, California, United States.[5][6][7]
