Massive Monolithic Telescope
A massive monolithic telescope is a single piece of glass (the meaning of both massive and monolithic) with 4 surfaces polished to specific profiles, two of them with a reflective coating.[1][2]
Basically, it is a modified version of the Schmidt-Cassegrain design without an air space.
Note: A massive monolithic telescope is not the same as the MMTO.
