Margarita Pilikhina

Margarita Mikhailovna Pilikhina (June 30, 1926, Moscow – March 13, 1975, Moscow) was a Soviet cameraman and teacher. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1965).

Biography

She was born on June 30, 1926, in Moscow. Her grandfather, Mikhail Artemyevich Pilikhin, had a furrier workshop, where his nephew, the future Marshal G. K. Zhukov worked as an apprentice.

In 1950, she graduated from the camera department VGIK (workshop of B. I. Volchek).

Since 1956 - director of photography M. Gorky.

Since 1965 - director of photography at the film studio "Mosfilm".

Member CPSU since 1956.[1]

Since 1965 - Member of the Board Union of Cinematographers of the USSR, then - Secretary of the Board, Head of the Creative Section of Cameramen.

Buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
